The Supplemental Job Displacement Voucher – SJDV

The SJDV is a benefit that changed in 2013 and became relatively simple: any injured worker who has at least 1% PD, and has work restrictions that cannot be accommodated by the employer, makes the injured worker entitled to the SJDV. This coupon is worth $6,000 to be applied toward education and retraining. Additionally, once entitled to the SJDV, the injured worker is also entitled to the State of California’s $5,000 return to work fund. This money can be used for any purpose, not just education.
